I moved back to PA after being gone for 40 years.  Surprisingly I found a huge physician shortage.  I waited for 15 months to be assigned a physician at OMC, Dr. Jessica Nikki Myhre.  She goes by Nikki.   I asked friends and family about her and they said they had heard that she was good.  Being from a medical family, I knew the type of physician I wanted.  My first visit was not only to address a health issue, but to also see if she was a good fit for me.  I was presently surprised that she fit my profile at such a young age (everyone is younger than me).  Dr. Nikki Myhre has been my primary physician since 2015.  When she took a year sabbatical to be a physician in New Zealand I was assigned to another physician.  He was NOT a good fit.  When Dr. Myhre returned it was a blessing.  She has always treated me with dignity, caring, empathy and most importantly with TRUTH.  If there is any issue that she does not have the answer to, she will research it until she does.  She is conscientious and does not give up.  When needed, she is there for you.  I have NEVER had such a great physician.  Dr. Myhre on a scale of one to ten, I rate as a 15.  She will NOT let you down.

When last seeing her at her old clinic, they put a 20-minute time limit for each patient.  I told her that it was crazy!  How can any physician take care of a patient in 20-minutes?

Thus, I followed Dr. Myhre to her new practice.  It is called Koru Health.  She has a health model (Direct Primary Care or DPC for short) that focuses on spending more time with her patients and giving a more personal approach to her patients.  Her DCP model allows me to not only have NO or minimal wait time but most importantly you will see her, not another physician, at all times.  Direct Primary Care also promotes and fosters a strong patient-physician relationship.

I hope you will let her be your health warrior.
